Hey, guys!!

When filling out the affidavit of support, what forms do I need to prove my income?

Like pay stubs or a letter from my job? Or just tax info?

I got my W2 form today to file my taxes, but I only made just over 12K last year BECAUSE I was visiting my fiancé in England in January, February and march of 2013 and also November 2013- January 2014.

Will this be an issue for my salary requirement? And I am allowed to use savings, correct? I have 14K saved.

Also, I am planning to buy a house soon, so I won't have my savings in the bank...

I'm so worried I won't meet the requirement, as my fiancé failed to meet the requirement for the UK fiancé visa.

Thank you!

Think of a co-sponsor if you don't meet the guidelines because the savings if you are going to use to offset the difference in your pay must be in an account to show them. How else will you they know you have it.

And you can't use a house you just bought.

What do you currently earn annually? Not what you made last year, but what you currently earn, as in your hourly pay times your hours worked each week, then multiplied by 52 weeks? If your current income meets the requirement, then use a letter from your employer and recent pay stubs to prove it.

London only requires 100% of the poverty level for the I-134, which for a household of 2 is $15,510. The $12k is short $3k, so the $14k in savings is probably enough to go along with the $12k even.

Or, use a co-sponsor if you want to be completely safe.
