Guys i wonder about something! We did a mistake with the fee and we sent 341 and not 340$. So they sent us back the package with a paper that was saying we must fix the fee. All the papers were checked and signed by them so i guess that means are ok! We fixed the fee and we put some pics as evidence that we had forgot.

With the package we received the noa1 hard copy too. And a paper that was saying that we wont go through the begining again when we send the package back and they will check it right away.

So now that we sent it whats next? We ll get the noa2 sooner? Im cofused. Cause the papers were checked. So that means w are ok and we must get the noa2? After how many days they open the package? Cause i check out case on uscis site and they havent update anything.

They have receive the package back 3 days now. I just wonder whats the process there. When they open it and the check the papers then what do they do? Whats the process that u get the noa2? Noa2 means they checked ur papers and ur background and u are ok? Thats what i dont get!

No, your petition will be placed in the next open box and wait around for 5 months or so to get adjucated. You've only added the time between your original filing to when they receive your updated package.

Reading the instructions should have caught this mistake.

I still dont understand the process. When they open the packages what do they do??? They keep them on their office? Why some ppl get noa2 on few days other on a month and other in 5 months. Thats what i dont get. They receive the packages and then? What do they do?

When you send your petition to the lockbox, they separate your payment and your petition is routed to the service center processing your case. Once at the service center, your petition will be in a box with dozens of other petitions, and will be looked at as soon as the adjudicator can get to it. The time could take just days, or it could take months. The best you can do is sit back, relax and be patient. Waiting is always the hardest part.

The intake facility takes the check and just looks over the package to make sure the basic forms are there and everything seems to be ok with them. I believe they are the ones that take apart the paperwork because they will send back items that are digital or will not fit in the standard file types they use. They cash the checks, or as you know, reject petitions for the wrong fee amount. The petitions are then routed to either the CSC or the TSC for processing. When an adjudicator gets around to looking at your file, then they will actually be the one to check deeper to make sure everything required is there. If not, they will send an RFE or denial. Adjudicating of the petitions only happens at the service centers, not at the initial intake facility.

Yours already went through the initial inspection at the Dallas Lockbox facility, so they are saying yours will not need to go through that again. Once you sent back the paperwork with the correct fee, it will go to the service center that will be processing your petition.
