Hi everyone..I had breast lump and I am worried on my medical exam.i just want to ask if my breast lump can delayed my interview or can be a problem in my medical? Please help! Thank you..

Do you realize this thread is 4 years old? Should start your own.

Lump shouldn't matter. It's not communicable. If you're worried about it, don't bring it up during the exam; they may never notice it.

But you SHOULD get it biopsied ASAP as soon as you get here. Be nice to rule out cancer.

Sorry I am just new here..my medical is on january 16,2014 so I am just bit worried about my breast lump sad.png

A breast lump shouldn't be a problem as SLEC is only concerned with communicable diseases like TB. I had a cyst removal too, sis. The doctor just asked where and when it was removed. I also brought my medical records just to be sure. But as mentioned by Dave, it might not be noticed unless big enough for the doctor to feel it during the physical exam. I suggest just be honest once the doctor discovered it and be prepared with your medical records. They won't be concerned about "cancer/ cyst" issues really. What they're looking for is something that could be a threat or something foreign / not natural was possibly inserted during a surgery (if you had one), if not performed by a medical professional.

Good luck, sis.

Breat lumps, whether cancerous or not, will not affect the medical exam. However, it needs to be properly examined for your own health. This is very important, so do not overlook it.

Do yourself a favor and get a determination if it is cancer or not in The Philippines. I dearly hope it is not ,but if it is, make sure there is some medical insurance waiting for you when you come here. Treatment for breast cancer in the US is outrageously expensive, not something that is affordable to pay out of pocket.

They will not fail you on that condition. They will recommend that you see your Dr. for a follow-up consultation. SLEC is looking if you are currently afflicted with a contagious or communicable disease of public health significance. They do not want you to carry something into the USA that will effect others.
