Calm down girl! He's just tried to make you realize that with no job and frequent visits your chances of being denied at POE are much higher than if you had a job.

Rule of thumb is to stay outside the us double the time you just spent (3 months for you), so try going in March.

Why don't you work any more? We always tell people not to quit their jobs or start booking venues, wedding receptions and such UNTIL they have an (immigrant) visa in hand.

yes its fine.

They even say so on the US immigration website.

I went over for TG just a few months back, just before we got NOA2. Short trips, usual holiday times you'll fly in. I took over my employment contract, bank info incase they questioned as I've been taken for further processing a few times due to long stays for work/research.

They can always reject you, they can anyone, and if asked don't lie but I didn't bring it up that I'd applied for a K1.

Yes you can try to visit, not guaranteed you will be allowed in at POE. I know its very hard to be apart from the one you love, but many of us do it here. We just have to be patient through the process. Waiting is always the hard part.

How did they know? I flew in at TG so it was a good time to visit, I had my contract etc but was never asked for anything.. I was prepared for further processing but it was fine. i've been to the US every few months so have a long history of entering and leaving, which may help..

he's right..

You should be OK.. but they can always deny you entry, they can on an ESTA regardless.. it's a pain in the #######.. just don't lie and hope they are OK, I think you'll be fine. I plan on visiting as soon as my job finishes here and I have an interview date.. But it will be more of a risk than normal.

It makes no sense because after all the investment of doing the K visa you arent going to suddenly jump out of the process and start again over there...

Do not lie to the officers at POE. If they catch you in a lie you will be denied for sure.

Just have patience...I know its so hard to wait if you don't go to visit until you receive your K-1 visa, but it will be worth it in the end!! If you are intent on coming here as a tourist (before your K-1), then do it! Don't be scared about what some experiences have been for other people, just do it!
