If that's what you told your mother, either you didn't understand the class or your teacher was an idiot. Either way, no scientist makes the claim that humans are descendents of monkeys, period.

Gosh, you are right. Obviously his mother made a totally unrelated response to his explanation of what he learned at school that day. I foolishly believed that he must have told his mother that he had learned that man was descended from monkeys at school that day in order for her to respond in the way she did. I totally see my error now, that does not make bit of sense thus making my reply so utterly preposterous that you just had to point it out and laugh. I am utterly put in my place.
