Tax Returns and Income Reqt

Hi all.

While waiting for our NOA2, we're already preparing our documents for the next stage. I have 2 main questions:

> Will we follow the income requirement for 2014 since it was this year our packet will be forwarded to NVC (assuming we get approved by USCIS) or 2013 still? Should we wait for the next memo for the income requirement or just use whatever is existing for that period?

> Is it better to send tax returns or tax transcripts? My husband is insisting that we're okay with tax returns because it's what we already have on hand but I read posts that some got an RFE for not sending transcripts.

I'm unsure of the new 2014 Income Requirements but they will not vary to much from 2013.

Tax Transcripts are preferred rather than Tax returns due to they easier to read but I never seen a RFE requesting a Transcript in replace of a return properly filed with the IRS.

Do follow the 2014 Income Requirements and the amount in family under that Petition.

Another member will post that I'm sure.

If you post or add you family members included in the Petition they can tell you the limits.

When the I-864 is submitted to the NVC, you must go by the most current I-864P.

The New guidelines come out late March early April so whenever your petition gets to NVC, thats the years guidelines you follow. It usually goes up about $300 TO $400.

Tax Transcripts is what the embassy likes it has every they require.
