Hello all,

My wife and I have been going through the K-1 Process, she is here now in the U.S on that VISA. we Applied for Adjustment of status, advance Parole and work Authorization(We HAVE the Work authorization AND Travel document on the same card). Our interview is scheduled for February (VERY EXCITED :)))!) However, next week she will be traveling back to her home country for a period of 3 weeks. I am curious, will they allow her to come back into the U.S if she provides the Passport with K-1 VISA (do they have an expiration? she has been here since August) And the Advance Parole card? or will there be issues? Should she have some other document with her as well?

I am asking primarily because I woke up in a cold sweat last night freaking out that they would not let her back into the country. unsure.png I just want to make sure she can go home to visit her family for the holidays and still be able to come back for our interview/being together. Should I provide her with a photo copy of the Interview date? (we just got that letter four days ago)

Thanks for your help! hopefully we dont need anything else!

...and the advanced parole card.

That's the bit that makes the difference.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

question!

so my fiancé and I are going to get married at the court house , but then a few months later we want to go to mexico to have a wedding with friends and family. To my understanding you cant leave the US because the K1 visa is a one time entry only. Would they give my advance parole to go to mexico and then return to the US? If so, how long does it take to get the advance parole?

Thanks!! :)

AP takes about 2 to 3 months to receive after you file.
