Hi Everyone,

well, we got our NOA1 (for me, beneficiary)(we're doing consular processing btw) in Nov 2013, when we sent the packet we sent bank statements from 2013, emails dating back to 2007 to 2013, plane tickets going back and forth from MX to the US (and viceversa), etc etc, we got married in the summer and we sent that too (I went back to MX to continue the process since I was in the US on a tourist visa and well it would be illegal to stay in the country if I was coming here for a visit, never stayed longer than 4 weeks as a visitor so that shouldn't have any bearings on my report).

Since then we've accumulated further paperwork (insurance from USC's work, went on our honeymoon, got a place in Mexico, money transfers to Mexico to pay off the place in MX, etc etc)

My question is... would it be a good idea to send this extra paperwork as further evidence? is there a form we would need to fill out? (so far we have gotten only the NOA1 and no further changes have been made in the system it still says "under initial review")

and if there was a form to fill out... what would that be? (form number)

Thanks everyone for your help!!! it is very comforting that there's a lot of people going through the same as us and I don't feel alone in this journey!

Good for you keeping good records of your time together. You didn't mention pictures of the two of you. Some consulates love pictures. Make sure you are accumulating those as well.

No doubt you'll be under "initial review" for some time. Possibly up to a year so hang in there.

Hi! thanks for your reply

yes we did send some pictures, not from our wedding though, the photographer had his camera stolen 2 days after our wedding so we never got any pictures from the actual ceremony mad.gif

anyway... what I mostly want to avoid is getting an RFE. that might delay what is already a looooong procedure.

Thanks! ohh and happy new year!

If you have already filed, I would sit it out and wait for the RFE (IF it comes). You won;t loose much time for an RFE. At this stage you are worrying about what might happen. You could send info and the still get an RFE for something you didn't even consider.

If you did a reasonably good job of filing the paperwork, it is probably best to sit on your hands. Hard to do I know.

If I were you, I would sit tight. I wouldn't send any follow-up info because it will most likely get lost and never get matched up. They lose the info that is in the regular package, can you imagine what they would do with an envelope that comes in after the fact? There are so many files going in and out of there on a daily basis. Wait for an RFE. You might not even get one. If you already sent 10-12 pictures and other evidence, that is enough anyway. Sometimes over kill is just too much

If you don't get an RFE, take the extra stuff with you to the interview

I agree. Wait it out. If for some reason they need additional evidence they will ask you for it. Keeping tabs on your stuff is an excellent idea. My wife and I do that as well just in case we need it at a later date. Good luck to you.
