None of those people were born Russian. The "Russians" born and raised in the Chechen Republic are still 13 years old and younger.

Thanks for the history lesson about Chechnya but I was thinking about Dagestan when I made my comments since the article I referenced made several references to people of Dagestan possibly involved in the bombings. So are Dagestanis Russians?

Based on what has been disclosed so far regarding the bombings in Volgograd, it looks like one of the bombings was carried out by a "real" Russian. An article in the LA Times seems to indicate that one of the bombers was a man from the Mari El Republic.

Investigators initially thought the attack at the railway station was carried out by a female bomber, but on Monday they reportedly concluded that the assailant was a man.

A search of the scene uncovered a finger with a hand grenade clip attached to it, which was found to belong to a Russian national identified as Pavel Pechenkin, a law enforcement source told the Interfax news agency. The man from the Mari El republic in central Russia was believed to have converted to radical Islam and joined an Islamist cell, the agency reported.

Legally speaking yes but people typically refer to immigrants from Ukraine or where ever as as such.

Like many countries (most countries) just holding a passport does not mean the mass of people see you as "one of them".

If an African American were to move to India, Japan or Russia, and gain citizenship, they would always be considered an African American... as would their kids.

The people of the north Caucasus region of Russia are not immigrants. Their homeland at some point was taken over by the Russian government. A lot of them don't want to be Russians, they want to be independent. That is what is behind most of these terrorist acts in Russia.
