I have a couple of questions about filing for AOS.

What's a certified copy of the marriage certificate?

Also the instructions on this website (again I'm being lazy) don't mention getting a translation of the foreign passport. Do we need that?

Thanks for anyone who cares to answer my questions. I know I'm being lazy!

timeline doesn't matter.

Have you seen a foreign passport? It typically has both native and english already.

YMMV

Certified copy of the marriage certificate is an official legal copy made by your department of vital statistics, court house, or department that issues them. You send an ordinary copy in with the I-485 not your original certified one, keep the original certified one for your interview.

You don't need a translation of the passport, just make a copy of the biographic page.
