Hi all, I am trying to figure the best way to file. My wife is Filipino but works in Dubai on a work visa and has for the last 8 years. Her Visa will be up in June 2014 and she will return to the Philippines at that time. My question is should I wait until then to start the process (I-130) or can I start now and change her address almost 7 months later and maybe she could complete everything in Dubai? If I am not clear enough please feel free to ask any questions? Thank you all.

YOU FILE NOW

AND SHE CAN DO FROM DUBAI ALL THE PROCESS

hope the things get fast .before june

and she can change the address later also .

and one more important thing if she is leaving dubai in june 2014

tell her to take pcc [ police clearance certificate ] before leaving dubai

as she was working and living in dubai from 8 years

as this is mandatory to have pcc as she was working for foreign country .

dubai police site she will find all the details .

June 2014? Lots of stuff to handle, lots of queues, lots of paperwork, lots of waiting,

so

If I was giving you real, practical advice,

I say she not renew her work contract, you file the I-130 next week, answering Manila in Q22 on the I-130, and she wait out the rest of the stuff in Manila after her contract expires.

She cannot interview in Dubai unless she has legal presence there (yet another work contract) and it's difficult to break a work contract in Dubai if'n she wanted to actually immigrate to the USA from Dubai after the interview there.

Thank you for the answers, now one more question. I almost have the package complete and am working on putting together proof of relationship and am wondering on how much to give them? I mean we talk on Facebook messenger everyday and Skype almost everyday and when we first met it was yahoo messenger. Do I just take snapshots of different dates or whats the best way? I did a copy and paste from Facebook to print for 2 months worth of conversation and it was 163 pages lol so whats the best way to do that. Thank you so much everyone on Visa Journey.

your pile is secondary evidence, so (IMO) include all.

Why? You not write of primary evidence (from the I-130 instructions) so I have to think yer scant on primary evidence.

I am working here in abroad almost 8 years now and we have our petition ongoing since December 6,2012. And we are now at NVC stage. My work permit is expiring March 2014, so we are hoping our case will be complete before march and will have my interview soon. Your wife need to have a PCC from that country as well as PCC from the Philippines and NBI clearance. Goodluck!

No Darnell I'm not scant on primary evidence as I have it all, and affidavits for the secondary. Everyone always talks about sending photos, phone logs, and emails or messages with the packet I'm guessing as secondary proof?
