Today my I-765 has been approved as per the website. I am now waiting for my EAD card in the mail.

Does anyone know if I can go to the SSN office before the card comes? Does the SSN office have a way of seeing the DHS information that I have been approved. I have all the information that would appear on the card, just not the card.

The reason is I have a job waiting for me and I just want to speed up the process any way I can.

Thanks in advance for your informed responses.

No, you need the EAD card in hand in order to go to the SSA and apply for the SSN.

~ Moved from K-1 Process to Social Security Numbers - topic is about getting an SSN ~
