I call NVC they receive the case on dec 24 . Shipping date was dec9 . How can i get case number.

They alow themselves up to 42 days to assign a case #. Call often, don't wait for the email, mine arrived like two weeks after the day the case # was assigned.

 

I am the beneficiary.

12/23/2013 ... I-130 received
12/27/2013 ... NOA1 email received
01/07/2014 ... I-797C receipt received: Nebraska Service Center, Priority Date: December 23, 2013
06/06/2014 ... "Alien Registration Number Change" email received
07/23/2014 ... e-Request filed. 7 months since NOA1!!!
08/07/2014 ... e-Request response: Security checks still pending
09/15/2014 ... After various requests NSC email received stating that petition is "assigned to an officer" ... Going on 9 months since NOA1
09/24/2014 ... I-130 FINALLY APPROVED!!! ... After 9 months and 1 day
10/15/2014 ... Case shipped to NVC, three weeks after NOA2

You guys will not get transferred cause your files are going/went to the service centers directly from the Lockbox. So it's Lockbox-> Service Center That's the way it used to be up until August 2

Guys, good news! :D

I logged into my online portfolio at ceac.state.gov and saw that the AOS information is changed from "Paid" to "N/A" and having read about this at multiple places about this, I guess my case is completed at NVC. And if that is true this has to be the best new year present ever. Looking forward to when do we get the Interview date. Will be calling NVC to find out for sure, I will keep you guys posted. :D

Update Guys: Just got off the phone with NVC about 20mins ago. I found out it is indeed a Case Complete and the interview is scheduled for Feb 10th, 2014 @ 7:30am. :D

This has to be the best new year present ever! :D

you are luckier than I.

My NOA2 date was Dec 3 and NVC received it Dec 30....you somehow passed me....and that's good cuz you've been waiting longer!!!

But, you gotta wait 42 business days for a case number. its crazy!!!!

I pulled my hair out with the mess we ran into at uscis and vowed I'd never let something that I cannot control get to me so much. So, I'm sitting back and doing the time....not happy about but my health is far more important that the worry and stress.

Being optimistic that this process is STILL faster than the last. :)

Hey, it won't take a year.

Be proactive - start to preparing all required docs for IV and AOS , put aside money to pay for fees , buy envelopes etc. , check everything 10 times, so when the right time comes you will be able to send everything right away :)
