so we got our SR response and it says "... we have to perform additional review on this case and this has caused a longer processing time. If you do not receive a decision or other notice of action from us within 6 months from this letter, please call customer service at the number provided below. "

great ! Nebraska is the best in sending meaningless full of c r a p messages.

i am not waiting 6 months before contacting them again...

how are you guys, anyways ? It is super hot in Poland MSN-Emoticon-hot-023.gif

so nanana we are in exact same boat, happy sailing :) i got the same response of my service request, the only difference is they didnt bother to give me any time frame, they said " We regret that we are unable to provide you with a completion date at this time. We apologize for the delay"

Have no idea what they are upto :(

BTW can you tell me, do you have any kind of i mean any kind of relationship in past with USICS, USA? Any idea why they put your case in additional review? Trying to figure it out why they put cases in additional review...

Everyone seem to be getting the exact same response from them regarding service requests/congressional inquiries.

I refuse to believe that all of these people: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthly_filers.php?form=2&visa=3&scenter=5&option=2&sortby=2 , are all cases that require special attention for whatever cause.

I understand that a handful may have specific things in their cases requiring additional processing, but come on, all of us early december filers? Just another lame excuse.

By this rate it would be quicker to file another I-130 hoping it would land at VSC or another service center that are actually working on cases.

Absolutely my thinking.

Hoping a new i-130 would supersede the old one, but seeing how they work, they'd take another 6 months to look up the old one before approving it.

interesting that you did this. i did it yesterday for texas and was stunned too.

then I looked at the recently approved and was totally annoyed. considering this month has close to 5 weeks, that's 2.6 cases a week.....really? how many people working in texas???

as of yesterday 13 July approvals.....(1 from Aug, 1 from Dec, 4 from Jan, 3 from Feb, 3 from Mar and 1 from June!!!!) Yah, the March and June annoyed me greatly!!!!!! :ranting: however there was another approval so now it sits at 14 for the month.

i get the whole security check thing, but I've been through the k1 process and was approved (plans changed due my pension so we cancelled it) and now doing this process, one would think since I'm from Canada and have been once approved things would be a tad quicker......not!

My point exactly! We have also been through the k1 process and approve and there was no security check issues there. This is a bunch of B.S. and they keep feeding us the same story. How long does security check take anyway? 8 months is more than enough time to have completed security check or whatever check there is. They are just sitting on their a_ _ and bypassing us by while even Feburary and some March are being approve.

omg....just for fun i checked igor;s list again to see k1 approvals. ####### are the k1 whining about? (i check in on them every now and then and they're crying the blues)

dec 119 approved, 117 jan, 68 feb, 42 for march, 27 april, 34 may and 10 for june so far!!!!!

now it makes sense why ir1/cr1 aren't being processed.

hummmm, makes me want to ask....which is the easier of the two to process?????

I made research what this 'message' could mean and what I found is that most of the time it means NOTHING. BS. That's all. I think that way to many of US Dec fillers is Still waiting therefore All their responses are meaningless..

But I Still have faith in NSC and people working there :D Come on uscis !! Hurry up !!

That's the point i am trying relate with delays, Old relationship with USCIS.

You applied K1 and now hoping that as all checks cleared so no need to worry, but in fact now your case need another review (review by supervisor) because visa adjudicator has seen that you also applied before and there is a case under you name. so by book he/she is bound to forward your case to the supervisor so he/she can check that what you applied and why you are inclined to file another petition.

So basically whoever filed K1 (or any other Visa) and thinks K1 approval means IR1/Cr1 fast processing is wrong, in fact vise verse is correct.

Mine case is also same, One F2A case is pending (Petition approved in 2 weeks)

So the finding of my little research is:

One of the many reasons case goes for additional review is that you had old relation ship with uscis.

Disclaimer: I just tried to connect dots, this can be wrong.

that I do understand, but axs it shouldn't have to take so long, I notice on April 24, 2014 my old k1 petition was requested by an USCIS office. When I looked up the case number that was the message I saw; however that is over 3 months ago. Why so long of a wait. I know I have no choice but to wait, but this wait is torture.
