So when I went to file my i130 application for my wife in Manila yesterday they requested a CENOMAR to show that she wasn't previously married...but my wife went and they can't issue that because we're married now? Not sure I understand...It is the first marriage for both of us as we listed on the application...anyone have this come up before?

Philippines is a strange place...so many government offices and forms. Where were you married? We need to know that first.

Since she is married CENOMAR is not applicable for her. She should have ask for Certificate of Marriage/CEMAR, the opposite for CENOMAR. I think they also call it as Advisory of Marriage.

ya, they need CEMAR. I'll guess the PI worker wasn't so trained about this stuff. A Vice-Consul, USCitizen worker, should have told you more.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

But cenomar for married individuals is CEMAR. Cenomar is just for singles. If ur married and u request for cenomar, they will give u the cemar.

They ask for a CENOMAR but what you need is the CEMAR (and will receive from NSO)
