Good day VJ members. I am at a loss on how to make our 1 year and 4 mos old petition move forward. Our NOA2 was Sept 17 but USCIS only sent out our file to NVC on October 24. When we call them up, they say it is on Administrative Processing and they dont have a specific time frame on when it would be completed.

Any ideas to speed up our file from NVC so it can be sent out to the US Embassy in Manila sooner would be appreciated.

Can I ask you something?? Why was it taking over 400 days to approve your petition?? O.O makes me scared right now we are already waiting 3 months..... Why didn't ya'll called them after 5 months processing time already??? I would call every single day!! Until they are so stressed from me that they better work on our petition finally!

In your case I would still call every day too! I've heard about a lot of people which called every day at least one time! I was reading here about people who called them 3 times (!!!!) - WOW - a day! ;-)

Wish ya'll only the best. My heart is bleeding when I read how long ya'll already wait. I would die

believe me trisha, we did everything you may have thought of, calling everyday, writing emails, contacted congressman, 2 senators, the uscis ombudsman, attended infopass appts, filed a dozen erequests and even wrote pres obama himself...to no avail :( it took them a full year to tell us of an RFE that my fiance already sent with the original petition anyways....) and now this...believe me when i say i am crying with my fiance almost every day whenever we think of how we were so unfairly treated. but to have us put back in limbo yet again....utterly frustrating....

sorry, forgive me if i vent...wont you if u were on our shoes?

but we choose to strive on because frankly, there is no one id rather be with than my fiance...so we just have to suck it up some more...but we are sure not liking it:(

wow...that long huh? did u wait for long before getting a schedule at the embassy? how long did it take for them to receive it from nvc? did the embassy inform you they are ready for you? im sorry for the many questions but i am just so on edge about it as we are looking at getting married this year.

do you think if our file gets sent this week, we can still have a shot at it for december? thanks for your input:) Good luck on your journey!

Yes, we were getting tired of waiting back then! Our petition was approved by USCIS & sent to NVC Aug29, NVC received our file, gave our mnl case# & sent to USEM Oct15. USEM confirmed to have received our physical file on Oct 31. We did not get any letters from NVC or USEM, we received confirmations by calling & emailing them constantly to ff up. I was able to book an appointment for interview yesterday, the earliest available slot was already for January 2.. We were looking forward to getting married this year too..but I guess a month delay wouldn't matter so much as we are getting near the end of our K1 journey :) Just ff up regularly, for sure you'll be getting your case number soon! :)

Normal processing at NVC is taking upwards of 8 weeks as of late. Being in AP makes it all the more difficult to PFA a time frame.

I truly hope things speed up very soon for you two!

YOU ARE REALLY THE MAN HANK!!! It was like that... i read your email this early morning and lo and behold when i got back today from work, i checked the yahoo mail for possible notices while talking to my fiance who is half asleep...and there it was!!!!

From NVC-

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your inquiry regarding the immigrant visa petition: MNL__***** filed by ****** on behalf of *******. The NVC completed its processing of this visa petition, and forwarded it to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in MANILA PHILIPPINES.

You must resubmit your inquiry or request, and all future correspondence to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in MANILA because this petition is no longer located at the NVC. Also, please be sure to notify the U.S. Embassy or Consulate of any change of address, e-mail address or personal situation that may affect the applicant's eligibility for an immigrant visa.

Please visit www.usembassy.gov to determine the contact information for the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in MANILA,PHILIPPINES . The Embassy or Consulate website will include contact information for visa related inquiries.

you know what is funny tho, my fiance wont believe it and was looking for the email from NVC to him giving him instructions....and i told him, this is it! and he doesnt feel trusting anymore and so i told him to check the CEAC website and it also shows the file is in transit.

now the only problem we have is to schedule an earlier appt!!!! as right now it is at january 14!!!!! we are looking at getting married this year!!! oh well, i will try requesting for an earlier appt if i can...and if not, id just try and make it as a chance passenger of a bus or plane and hope against hope that someone cancels their appt so i can sched mine:)

To all of you who cared to post and give me some sort of comfort and hope....i am deeply indebted...i owe you guys my sanity...thanks for all the inspiring words....i really appreciate it VJ members... Good luck to everyone else waiting...

i am just so ecstatic:)luv.gifluv.gifluv.gifluv.gifdancin5hr.gifdancin5hr.gifdancin5hr.gifdancin5hr.gifdancin5hr.gifdancin5hr.gifdancin5hr.gifdancin5hr.gif

btw,how cn i print d emails we had?do i print screen it or paste them on word?pls i need some help.

Sort of depends on the email program you are using, for most you can click on FILE, then in the drop down menu there should be a choice to print.

If that isn't an option I would go with copy/paste into a word program. Just do a small sampling from each month.

do i need to give a sampling of each month hank? we have been together since 2005, met in 2006 and have been in a relationship for 8 yrs now.

i only selected one email thread for each year (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013) and the number of pages on word doc already adds up to 12 pages. imagine how bulky it would be if i opted to do an email sampling for each month? is it ok if i just indicated in the front of the email exchanges page that "more emails can be printed upon request"?

Note: in case you were wondering why only from 2008 and the 2006 and 2007 exchanges are missing, its because my previous email add got hacked and i opted not to use it anymore and he created a new one for me.

as always, please let me know how to proceed further almighty hank:)

I would only select one email from each of the earlier years and maybe one email from each month for 2013. (and for the fun of betting, I am betting the CO won't ask for copies of your emails but will want to see a few pictures of you two together. Keep me posted on this one ;):) )

I'm going with Hank on this one. good.gif Do what you are doing, a sampling just like Hank said and if the CO ask for those, then present them for their review. If the CO is not satisfied then you can explain that you have more but backing up a truck to the USEM would not be wise. rofl.gif

They never asked for chat logs from us, as I was there for the interview and we were never asked for pictures of our relationship and very few questions. But, if you go alone without him, then I suggest you put your efforts into your pictures showing your relationship. It helps to have other family members in the picture with you and your fiancée and also if you have a big family gathering then be sure to include those. They like to see that it is you and he, but also he has made a connection to your family. Don't go overboard.... usually about 15-25 pictures will get your point across nicely.

Relax and keep asking questions "we" will get you through this.

Good luck
