Hi, My husband and I got married Jan 3, sent off the I-130 application and got NOA1 March 25, 2013. It had an MSC # so I assumed it was the national benefits centre. I'm English but was living in Thailand. My work permit for Thailand was expiring and hadn't heard anything so I moved back to the UK last month. We've heard nothing since March but my husband called USCIS to change my address to the UK, now I've had a notice of transfer to the local office (yesterday, the day after the notice that the address had been changed). He called them to find out where the local office is and USCIS said it's Lee Summit.. which when I googled I found out it's the National Benefits centre. Why have I been notified of a transfer to the same place??? Why haven't we heard anything? It's been months and the visa journey search shows loads of timelines similar to mine have had the NOA2 already. What is going on? Thanks for your help, USCIS aren't very forthcoming, to say the least.

There are plenty of march filers still waiting. They have just started transferring many petition i thin we should hear something soon. Btw my noa1 date is march 27

I can't tell you why it says the case has been transferred, but I do that I-130 petitions are severely backlogged currently, and plenty of March filers still have not received an NOA2. It's ridiculous, I know, but seeing that a lot of March filers have received received their NOA2, I'd assume yours is coming fairly soon. Give it another couple of weeks. It's difficult, I know.

Most I-130's that were at NBC are getting the transfer letter. There's a thread on VJ explaining about 3 weeks ago what USCIS is doing with you all.

You can't look at others same time frame and expect same results. many filers up to May were sent to local offices. So you will be seeing many (hopefully) December, January, February filers approved from local offices.

Sorry, I missed that thread, obviously. So, I guess for anyone else reading this no need to reply to me anymore, questions answered. I spend much of my time trying to forget I have a visa application and a husband or I literally would be in tears night and day so I guess getting an email from the USCIS shocked me back into a pretty crappy reality. Thanks for your reply.

At least you got a letter, We no idea that ours had been transfered untill I spoke with a teir II a few weeks. We still wouldn't know as they have never sent us anything and to think our fait is in the hands of this agency.... ranting33va.gif The news I received from them "We are working on Oct, 2012 I-130's"

Eh, they always say that. It's to decrease the amount of investigations opened into I-130s that still haven't been adjudicated.

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

I'd take that with a grain of salt. They say 12 - 18 months to keep you from filing service requests.
