Hello there friends,

I AM MARRIED TO AN ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT FROM MEXICO.

WE MARRIED ON JUNE, 2012

FILED THIS FEB 2013. I WAS STILL PREGNANT AT THE TIME. SO PROOF OF PREG. WAS SENT

RECEIVED REC. #

NOW USCIS IS REQUESTING EVIDENCE. THEY ARE ASKING FOR A PHOTOCOPY OF MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE.

WE ALREADY SENT IT. I AM THINKING OF SENDING THE ORIGINAL SINCE WE SENT IT IN B&W FORMAT. I ORDERED A COPY FROM THE COUNTY JUST IN CASE.

THAT IS IT. I THOUGHT THEY WERE GOING TO ASK FOR MY CHILD' S BIRTH CERTIFICATE(US BORN). OR MY HUSBANDS BIRTH CERT. TRANSLATED

SHALL I SEND MORE THAN NECESSARY? OR JUST THE CERTIFICATE ITSELF?

You do not need to send your husband's birth certificate, but do send a color photocopy of your child's birth certificate as it helps to prove that the marriage is bona fide.

Also, they are requesting a color photocopy, not the original. When sending photocopies to USCIS, always send colored copies, as they generally will not accept b&w copies of important documents.

PS. As a courtesy, please turn off your CAPS lock - CAPS generally makes it look like you're yelling/shouting. No need to yell here.
