Hi everyone,

I just received my packet 4 with the interview date (November 13th) and I called the doctors to get my medical exam appointment but there is no way to get an appointment before November 14th!

That means I won't have my medical results for the interview.

What should I do? I'm very stressed right now!

Do I need to cancel the interview?

Can I email the embassy, explain the situation and try to get a new interview date the week after (as soon as I have my result) ?

Mike

I'm not aware of US embassy in Paris how they do processing a K-1 visa. But what I've read from previous post that you don't have to re-schedule or cancel your interview. Just go have your medical done and attend your interview. The result of your interview might delay until they received your medical in hand. Again, Some other VJers can stand and corrected me if I am giving misinformation about this process. Anyhow, good luck!

Thank you for your answer!

I really really hope you're right!

Since I'm going to do my medical exam the next day it shouldn't be delayed for a long time in that case.

But if I have to cancel the interview I fear it's going to take forever for me to have another date...

Some other VJers here got delayed for their visas because they did not provide documents in time, I believe consulate would put them on AP (administrative processing) until applicants completed their documents. But it did not make their K-1 visa application in jeopardy unless theirs were denied after interview was done. Keep posted. Good luck for your medical and the interview result!

Hi again everyone!

Sorry to answer only now but I have been very busy lately.

Actually one of the doctors was out of office, this is why it was so hard to schedule an appointment with the other one.

But I have been able to get an appointment on Tuesday 12th, one day before my interview so finally everything went well!

I had my interview and we got approved!

I am not sure about the Embassy in Paris, but we had the same situation where the interview was scheduled before the medical exam. I contacted the embassy and they told me to bring an appointment letter from the medical facility with the appointment date and come to the interview. My fiance still went on his interview and was told to drop off his medical results after he receives them. Do not cancel your interview but definitely would suggest contacting the embassy.

Hope this helps
