Hello, I am the petitioner for my Brazilian fiance. I have gathered everything but I am absolutely terrified of getting an RFE because I want this process to go as fast/smoothly as possible. Does the checklist look good? Do you think it is enough?

1. I129F cover letter

2. I129F form + 4 signed and dated attachments (the new form is formatted terribly and I wanted to make sure there were no misunderstandings...)

3. front and back scans of my birth certificate (long version, in color)

4. Petitioner G-325A (plus 2 attachments signed/dated)

5. Color scans of every page of my passport.

6. Beneficiary G-325A (plus 1 attachment signed/dated)

7. color scans of every page of my fiance's passport

8. beneficiary letter of intent, signed/dated

9. Petitioner letetr of intent, signed/dated

10. itineraries for 3 trips

11. screenshots of facebook messages

12. log of skype calls over past 6 months

13. 16 color photos with dates, names, places written on back.

14. letters from my mother and father verifying our relationship

15. picture of dated zoo tickets, and business card of hotel we stayed at

16. photo of my baggage claim sticker with date, locations, and my name printed on them (we never kept our boarding passes)

17. scan of a card he sent me.

18. Letter from me about our relationship/timeline.

19. 2 passport style photos, less than 30 days old (beneficiary and petitioner)

20. G1145

21. 340 money order.

This isnt in the order im arranging it, but does this look okay? Am I missing anything?

I'm really anxious. I want everything to go well...

Thanks

Personally, I think you have a few things that aren't needed, namely items 5, 7, 11, 12, 14 and 18. For the passports, include only the pages with stamps on it, you don't need every page. I also think 16 photos is too much.

While it's good that you have all that, you don't want to boggle down your process with excess paperwork, and most of what you're adding in, the Skype calls and Facebook messages, are secondary evidence anyway, so it's not really that important.

Other than that, looks good!

Thanks for the tip, I'll try to cut it down a little : ). i was also wondering.... Do you think it's okay to write the country code for my fiances phone number in front of the boxes provided because it doesn't fit the entire number plus the code, or should I just leave the phone number without the country code and make a note in a continuation page that there should be a country code?

I confess I forgot what my fiance did with my phone number, but I would leave out the country code. :)

Some people need to add an attachment on a form when the space provided isn't enough for them to answer a question. The attachment includes the question answered in the detail they feel is needed. It's used only IF you need it.

Hope this helps. :)
