Yeah, I agree, especially because they didn't send us the NOA2 hard copy until we called. If I'd gotten that earlier, I could have started to prepare documents to take with me when I go visit my fiance in 2 days. It won't get to me in time now, which is too bad but I'm okay with it because I'm still over the moon with the news of the approval smile.png

I just called the NVC and they received my case and forwarded it on to Havana yesterday! smile.png I was not expecting this to happen so fast when just yesterday I thought we were going to get an RFE or worse, were going to be denied.

Does anyone have any suggestions on documents that I can take my fiance without having received the NOA2? All I've got right now are the tax returns!

Wow that's a wonderful news ,congrats I could actually say that since you haven't received the N0A2 you can prepare the 134 ,letter of intent and all the originals documents sent for the petition and maybe later on when you received the NOA2 you can send it to him since you want to visit so bad I guess that's the option for you otherwise its has been a great and surprising day for you ,I guess

It does appear that a few people have experienced some glitches and for that reason, I too was getting very anxious. Seeing what seems like everyone with dates around mine starting to get approved made me feel really nervous. Calling them won't hurt anything however, it won't help either really until after the allowed 5 month time-frame has elapsed.

I found the statistical information reported by Visa Journey members to be a little comforting, not in the sense that it will go any faster, but at least I am comforted by the fact that my timeline doesn't seem so abnormal now. Over the last 90-days the average time for approval from NOA1 to NOA2 is still at 120-days. It is true the the processing times have sped up, the average over the last 6 months was at 146-days, but it is still typical for this approval to take up to 5 months and the average is 4. This makes me feel like the process is at least going normally and is what I had expected when I initially filed. Here is the link to the statistical data based on Visa Journey member timeline updates. I am not sure how often this report itself is updated but it may comfort some others to see this information as well http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/stats.php?history=90

It is great news for those that have been approved so quickly and again CONGRATS!!! biggrin.png , but for those of us waiting, we just have to be patient and let USCIS do their thing. sleep.pngrolleyes.gif

while most of our group filers have been approved so it doesn't hurt to call seriously ,I called but waiting for a call back.

Most of our group filers? So you mean most people in November have been approved? Looking at the timelines and people who received an NOA1 in November, I still see a lot of people that have not received NOA2s..

And you guys are telling me that now I need to call the USCIS and hound them about if I was approved or not? Because they are sending no notification of approvals?

I certainly agree that if calling will give you peace of mind then you definitely should call. biggrin.png To say however, that most filers in our group have been approved isn't quite accurate. I ran a report showing all Visa Journey member's with timelines filed from 2013-11-01 to 2013-11-30 and there were 141. All members within this time frame report having received NOA1 however only 35% (49) have reported receiving NOA2. Again this information is provided by Visa Journey and is strictly contingent upon people updating their timelines so I have no clue what the margin of error is related to this information.

I know that for me it certainly felt like everyone in our group has been getting approved and hopefully the USCIS continues to speed up, but please feel somewhat at ease with the fact that you aren't alone and the process seems to be moving along at the pace outlined by USCIS if not a little bit more quickly. yes.gif

I haven't gone back to check, but I think there's still a bunch of us who haven't been approved yet. I wonder if the previous months' filers have all been approved/RFE'd as well.

I don't know but all these people frantically calling the USCIS and talking about being approved but not having any notification is starting to make me worry.

VJ still says I shouldn't expect an NOA2 response any sooner than the 20th.. which is Friday. I was not really concerned about the process because I knew it would take some time but after reading all these posts they are starting to instill fear and doubt into me!

The thing with the VJ timeline is that it's made to factor in the RFE's, but apparently not to factor in that a petition was approved due to an expedite, Because of the typhoon in the Philippines, a bunch of petitions were expedited for humanitarian reasons and that messed up the estimates for the timelines.

Yeah I know about this. I doubt that the expedited petitions could bring the average down to a month all on their own though. I am sure I wont get my NOA2 in the timeline it says but I still think the process has sped up across the board altogether.

I hope.

I do not really know anything but I know we will all get approved eventually)))

I just called on ours. Our NOA1 was Nov 7. The agent said on the phone that our status was in initial processing and that I should wait to call back until 5 months after the NOA1 date. Ok, great. sad.png

yes 5 months is crazy....thats the standard timeframe but I think most move a lot sooner... give it till after the New year......call back again and see what they say...Unfortunately we dont have any control over these timelines....try not to worry and keep yourself prepared for the long haul...its a visa journey remember!
