hi guys,

i am planning to schedule my medical and wants to know what are the things i need to bring, i havent got a letter from the embassy yet but i do have my noa2 and also my MNL case number. aside from the online registration form (2) copies, payment, vaccination record ( if available) , chest xray film (if available) , biograogic part of my passport ( photocopy), pictures... water pen etc.. my worry is, i dont have any letter yet from the embassy . will that be a problem once ihave my medical? what other documents i may be able to show to st lukes instead of the letter of eligibility.? will my noa2 (photocopy) will suffice? i need help with those who have undergone their medical at st lukes with thes same issue. thank you so much

as long as you have the MNL case number that would be alright, just tell them that you haven't got the hard copy from the embassy yet...and tell them that you haven't scheduled your interview yet..just want to advance the medical. I didn't get any mail from embassy but I was able to do my medical..but since I already have my schedule for interview at the embassy before my medical, I gave them my confirmation of schedule for interview..... I think you will be fine...:-)

*** Thread moved from K-1 Process forum to the Philippines regional subforum. ***

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

schedule your interview, print that confirmation. you can also email NVC inquiring about your petition, and they will reply to you with your MNL number, that is accepted too. bring food (not crazy smelly obvious ones because its not allowed inside. crackers will do). bring water (there is a water fountain in every floor so you can refill), dont forget the first day of your last period. They will ask this ALL THE TIME. Always be aware where your passport is and check it before you leave SLEC. Some people went home with the wrong passport. Be there early if you want to finish it in 1 day. Bring a book or a gadget to keep you busy. The wait is crazy long.

Hi! Thank you for that info! Can you also help me with DS 160? I dont know how to answer this question under SECURITY AND BACKGROUND. DO YOU HAVE ANY DOCUMENTATION TO ESTABLISH THAT YOU HAVE RECEIVED VACCINATIONS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE US LAW? IF I SAY NO, IT ASKS ME TO EXPLAIN AND I DONT KNOW WHAT TO WRITE DOWN. THANKS!

Answer Yes to it. You will have your vaccinations and the papers for it anyway when you finish the medical at SLEC.

NOA2 ... not needed. SLEC doesn't want the eligibility letter, they want a copy of the interview confirmation letter/email or NVC letter/email. Did you get a letter/email from NVC with the MNL # ? Did you pay your visa fee and schedule your interview?

How where you able to get your medical done in one day? I read some postings that it has been done in the past? Any insights or "tricks" are appreciated. Thanks.

Luck of the draw, there is no way to guarantee getting the medical done in one day.

My wife got her's done in one day, but it wasn't something she was trying to do.
