Today my fiance had her interview but she asked for a tagalog translator but wasn't given one so she tried to answer the questions but was told she wasn't answering it right so they told her to have me call the Embassy. Have anyone had this situation? I called and he said wait for the letter. Does that mean we got denied? I'm going crazy thinking what went wrong and and what's our next step.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

There was another case where the consul did not allow an interpreter. Here is the link of the embassy review : http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/view-dos-cis-reviews.php?entry=13055 . Now I am worried since my fiancee prefer to answer the questions in Tagalog. How do both of you communicate ? If I were you I would call the embassy and inquire why they did not provide an interpreter when there is an option for it. Please keep us updated and good luck. Hope things will work out for you guys.

That is definitely an issue, because that CO is F-King up!! For sure contact the embassy and complain VERY LOUDLY!!

Step 4: Go for the Interview
All applicants must appear at the Embassy for interview, except government officials traveling on official business and applying for A1, A2, G1, G2, or G4 visas. Applicants are requested to arrive at the Embassy gate 15 minutes before the time listed on the appointment letter.
Applicants must bring all the basic application requirements including the interview appointment letter, DS-160 confirmation page, valid passport, one 2” x 2” photo, and all prior passports and U.S. visas, if available. It is helpful to bring a government-recognized photo ID (in addition to the passport) to present upon entry. All kinds of electronic devices are not allowed inside the US Embassy premises.
Embassy personnel are available to provide assistance at each stage. Applicants who require interpreters must inform the interviewing officer on the day of their interview. There is no need to bring a relative or a friend to act as an interpreter as the Embassy can provide language assistance when an applicant requests for it.

Important note: American citizens and US Legal Permanent Residents are not allowed to accompany nonimmigrant visa applicants to the interviewing area.

The letter my fiance got saying 221 (g) "It was not established that the beneficiary and petitioner have a bona fide relationship."

This is the message from website so what is our next step? I called the Embassy and they said to wait for letter but the wait is killing me

Here's the letter any suggestions?

Your case is under administrative processing. Please see the letter you received at your interview for more information. If you are required to submit additional documents, please submit them to the U.S. Embassy via any branch of 2GO courier service (Attn: Immigrant Visa Unit) together with a copy of the letter.

If further information/review is needed, you will be notified once we have completed our review of your case.

Consular officers need to be reasonably satisfied that all issues have been addressed before a final determination is made regarding visa issuance.

The time required to process a visa application to conclusion varies by case and depends on its complexity, along with the number and intricacy of other cases awaiting review.

Do not finalize travel plans, purchase plane tickets, dispose of property, or cease employment until a visa is delivered to you. We are unable to commit to issuing a visa on a certain date.

Under the U.S. Immigration and Nationality Act, Immigrant Visas for "Diversity Visas" cannot be issued after September 30th of the year in which you were selected to apply for a Diversity Visa. For example, entrants into the Diversity Visa Program in Fall of 2011 were selected for Diversity Visa 2012 Program, and selectees MUST apply and receive their visa prior to September 30, 2012 otherwise they lose eligibility to receive a Diversity Immigrant Visa, regardless of additional administrative processing.

In addition, please note that some immigrant visas may not be able to be issued if the annual numerical limit for that category has been reached.

Thanks geff44 for your support. My fiance has limited English but its enough with my patients to try to understand her. Its been over 4 years together but only 2yrs for the visa process. Arlene is very shy but the more she practices speaking the better she gets. But I guess not enough for the interview.

Did you call the embassy regarding the translator issue?

I called and had a 3 way conference call and she asked him why she couldn't have one he kept on saying wait for the letter in the mail. My fiance email the the letter she got and there wasn't any disposition marked off. So does that mean we were denied? It only checked off

221 g beneficiary and petitioner establishe bona fide relationship.
