Getting married as a student

My partner arrived in the US as a tourist and adjusted his status to F1 while in the US to study here. I am a US Citizen and would like to marry him. Will he be able to remain in the US when we apply for an adjustment of status so he can have a green card? What will we need to do to secure his green card? I appreciate any advice you can offer.

once you are married you can file for CR1 for him.... there is guide available for that in guides section.

Harsh, this is wrong. OP not need visa, as chasing a visa requires a consular interview.

Instead, go the Adjustment of Status Route. OP's partner is here on a student visa, and this type of AOS is allowed.
