so yea, he just boarded the plain half hour ago, should be taking off within an hour, will be here in about 10 hours and out of customs perhaps in an hour of arrival. I couldnt get off work for certain reasons so his brother is going to pick him up and I will see him tonight.

I have such mixed feelings that I didnt expect to feel. Im happy, scared, anxious, nervous, overwhelmed, worried, feel responsible, and so many more that I cant even put a name on. and i havent seen him in almost three years, I really dont know what my first reaction is going to be when I see him. cold, warm, crazy, tearful, shy? am I gonna just freeze up when I see him? I told him not to take offense if I dont jump on his neck cause i really really dont know what my system will or not let me do. we were friends first, than turned into a romantic relationship. prior to the r/s I didnt have a problem looking him in the eye, but the first day we opened up, I could only look him in the eye for like seconds. I got all shy and stuff, it was soooooo weird. but that ended the next day :D

Pray for us please.

In turkish custom, its usually the girl that has to leave her family behind to go be with the one she loves, and most times be closer to his family than hers, at times even living in the same house with them. our case is the exact opposite. He is the one leaving his family behind cause I couldnt bear to leave mine, (esp my mom cause she is sick) and this has put so much of a feeling of responsibility on my shoulders. I always thought guys are probably happy that their wives have moved closer with their family and away from hers, but if they feel what Im feeling, boy this marriage thing is a double edged sword from the start.

has anyone else felt this way, or is it just a turkish thing, ( i only say this because we're both turkish, most here are turk and american couple) or is it just me :/ :(

Also, his visa exp on Oct 24, at the airport in TR they wanted to cause a problem but didnt thank God, please pray that they do not cause any problems here at POE either.

anywho, just wanted to give an update. I will do my timeline later. Just pray for us please, and all of us on here. I sure do.

thanks all.

Congrats you guysdancin5hr.gif

I am really happy and excited for you to start your new lives together.

I am in the same boat as you, he will leaving his family to come here and it is so bitter sweet because he has such an awesome family. As soon as he is able to travel after we are married and the waiting time to the OK for him to travel out of the country we will fly back and visit them as often as we can. It seems so easy and exciting thinking about our fiance getting here but when reality sets in i have to agree it is scary but a happy scary if that makes sence.....

I can't imagine what it is going to be like when my fiance gets here, I think i will run and jump on him and knock him over in front of everyone in the airport... LOL. rofl.gif

Well speaking about turkish family. I think we have a lot of responsibilities since they are the ones to live in a different country. Turkish man are the ruler of the house. somethings he would not like you to do since he is here. Believe me some days you will have a fight for any stupid reason but remember he left to be with you and have a family. Therefore, you will have to be patience and love . GOOD LUCK

a bit late yo reply back to this as you already have made an appointment but no, we didnt have a hard time scheduling, I was actually able to schedule the first time I logged in and not only that but was able to reschedule due to some paperwork issues not too far off from the original date. But I think right after our group of interviews, they shut down the interview schedule cause I checked back just out of curiosity couple days later and it said no app date available. we got lucky is all im saying :) I was able to schedule with days of receiving packet 3.

Thank you all for your support and well wishes, I really appreciate it.

He is living with his brother right now, due mostly to our religion and some family situations, we cant move in together prior to marriage, even later, after the wedding.

Since I work we couldnt see each other 24/7 last week but we got to spend quite some quality time together, and one whole day together I took off from work. He gets really bored at home so he is tagging along with his brother to his work to pass time and perhaps learn some tricks of the trait to help him with his job hunt in couple months while we wait for the marriage to take place than the EAD.

We've been apart for three years, it was like that was never the case. It was weird. I didnt cry when I first saw him, but two days later, I left his home, drove down the block, and drove back to his house in tears cause I already missed him so much within those second I drove off. I dont know how I was able to stand this longing for three years.

Anyway, this is where we are right now. He's here, Im happy. Thats all that matters :) I hope and pray that anyone separated from their loved ones where ever they are in the world get reunite with each other as soon as possible, cause it sucks to be apart, and feels awesome to be able to see them everyday and touch and feel them, talk to them looking into their eyes.

God bless us all everyone, if anyone has any questions, feel free to PM me anytime. Im on here couple days a week while at work, so it shouldnt take too long for me to get back to you.

LOVE, HEALTH AND HAPPINESS TO ALL heart.gifrose.gif
