You don't need the medical exam until after you file the I-485. Just wait until they contact you and provide you with another new list of things to do and bring.

Not quite true... to avoid a RFE for this matter you will need to send the complete medical I693 and I693a from the civil surgeon in your area.

for your situation use this guide!

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...page=i130guide2

also here is the medical vaccinations you will need to lookinto if your wife does not have them or a record of them...

http://www.usembassy.org.uk/cons_new/visa/...ccinechart.html

for most people just need MMR, TD, varicella

Once again to avoid a RFE which will hold up your processing time, please refer to the above guides for all that you will need to send with your I485 package.

I 130 & I129F (K3) and AOS info in timeline

No. You need do complete the medical and include I-693 with the AOS packet, or else you will get an RFE and it will slow down your case processing.

If you're coming from a K1 then you only need the supplement I-693A and not the medical itself, as long as yours was done less than a year ago.

HI,

be sure to include the medical before you apply for the AOS, otherwise you get an RFE right away. Good luck.

I believe the OP's wife came in on a tourist visa, so needs the medical.

I didn't have the extra info so I just said what's common, although I did say IF.

Yes, if you came on a turist visa and is now adjusting status you need to contact a civil surgeon from the list provided by USCIS and do a medical exam, in which you'll need to supply information on your vaccination record or take new shots and tests.
