What would it matter? I personally believe Mary remained a virgin until her death and assended immediately into heaven upon her death. I also believe that Jesus was never married and never had brothers or sisters.

Does the bible mention anything about him being married or not?

I guess I can google, I was just wondering about this.

Good question. Why are people so opposed to him being married? If the bible doesn't say one thing or another then how can either side be sure.

Good question. Why are people so opposed to him being married? If the bible doesn't say one thing or another then how can either side be sure.

I think you open a hole new issue--if Jesus was married, he could have had children. Jesus is God, so these would be God's kids. Now--Think about how special these people would feel! God would never had done such a thing. I wouldn't make any sense. He came here for one reason. To free us from our sins. Not to procreate!!

I thought he was the son of God. So, you're saying he's his own son? Talk about opening up a whole new issue... :blink:

The Trinity. The Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit. All One and the Same. All God. Most Christians believe this. Jesus is God incarnated. I believe it is only the Jehovah's Witnesses that believe that Jesus is not God--they believe he was God's worker-holy, but not God.

I think some people take the words of the bible waaaaaaayyyyyyyy too literally... it's a big parable.

Anyway, who cares if he was married or not.

I think a lot of people underestimate it :yes:

It reminds me of that movie, Dogma....they claimed in the movie that Jesus had brothers and sisters. I dont think they said anything about him being married or having any children though. It is something that seems plausible to me anyway.

I asked my Gypsy if he thought it possible Jesus had married... and he said no because he had taken the vow of the Nazarenes which precluded marriage.

The bible mentions Jesus had brothers... but you seem to disbelieve that... may I ask why???

Paul and I met on the Bazaar on the 14th January (he joined my progressive rock forum that day)

July 3rd he flew to England to meet me

We fell in love while he drove all over the place coz I cannot read maps (we were supposed to go to Ingleton - but touched Darlington 4 times, Pierce Bridge 6 times, Scotch Corner twice and Bernard Castle twice and we never did make it to Ingleton)

It has been so long and so much has happened in between...

Arrived in Houston on October 29th 2006

Married 17th November 2006

Lost my father 8th January 2007 (all dates are a blur after this)

Conditional Green Card dated 24th October 2007

I-751 posted on 6th August 2009

Received on 7th August 2009 in VT
