A planned immigration reform rally will take place on the National Mall on Tuesday even though the site is closed due to the government shutdown.

Organizers for the "Camino Americano: March for Immigration Reform" were spotted Monday setting up a stage and equipment on the National Mall for the rally which will take place on Tuesday.

A few scattered barriers around the park have signs informing visitors that the area is closed as a result of the government shutdown.

Susana Flores, a spokesperson for the rally, confirmed for the Washington Examiner that the Park Service will allow the event to take place under the group's rights granted by the First Amendment.

About 30 members of Congress are expected to attend the rally, including House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and Sen. Robert Menendez, D-N.J.

The event is hosted by several immigration activist groups, together with the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and the AFL-CIO.

Washington Times reported Thursday.

“We’ve been told to make life as difficult for people as we can," an angry Park Ranger told the Times. "It’s disgusting.”

According to the Times, the Park Service has been shutting down streets "on mere whim and caprice."

This is on the kenyans orders for certain.

Fox Business said the Obama administration is acting like a dictatorship, forcing hundreds of privately-owned parks to close even though they do not receive any federal funds.

Warren Meyer, owner and president of the Arizona-based Recreation Resource Management, a company that runs over 100 U.S. Forest Service campgrounds and day-use areas, said he received orders directly from the White House to close up shop.

Well it may be. Heck who knows

Still why barricade one group and provide services for another

regardless of who caused the shut down it seems odd

Why would the park service force a privately owned Inn that sits on an open public road, to shut down because it leased the land from the park service

but oddly enough be able to fund Park rangers to barricade the entrance and staff it 24/7 to keep people out

If I remember correctly, and I haven't paid that much attention to this whole thing, the House passed a bill that defunded ACA. Of course, that one didn't pass the Senate. But then I think the House sent at least two more bills to the Senate. These didn't defund ACA, they delayed it for a year or forced Congress to participate in ACA (or something like that).

It seems like the House is making concessions but there have been none from the Senate or President. Of course, these could be meaningless concessions but either way, I would say the fault lies equally among all parties; House, Senate, and President.

The concessions they want are to pick and choose what they want to fund based on their political ideologies. The minority does not get to make policy this way.

They are not the minority in the House and that's where all spending comes from. So, that puts them in a relatively good position.

I don't know why the House and Senate didn't reach a compromise; delay for a year but don't take out whatever that tax was that's supposed to be important to the funding.

Just my opinion, but a refusal to negotiate by either party seems childish.

I see. I'm going to suggest that you turn all your belongings over to me. Then I'm going to make concessions and let you keep the shirt on your back and your old toaster. Everything else I will still take. You think that's a reasonable concession? Of course not. Neither is any attempt to link the ACA implementation to the funding of the federal government.
