Hello all,

I just tracked my case status through uscis website and noticed it has been updated to RFE. I'm a little bit anxious, we filed the case correctly though a law firm, my husband is yet to receive the RFE it was dispatched on the 12th of Nov. what usually makes USCIS ask for more evidence, how long does it take for the petitioner to receive RFE when dispatched. What does RFE usually ask for. I'm a bit tensed up, would this increase our approval time. My PD is 24th sept 2013

Is the petitioner a US citizen or a LPR?

If the petetioner is a LPR, there is a high probability the RFE is request for proof of US citizen..... (for which you have to respond back with copies of front and back of the petitioner's green card).

It takes about a week for you to receive the RFE letter.

09/09/2013 - Concurrent filing of I-130/I-485/I-765/I-131 sent via USPS.

09/11/2013 - Delivered to USCIS Chicago Lockbox

09/16/2013 - Acceptance Confirmation text messages (4) and emails (4).

09/17/2013 - Check cashed.

09/23/2013 - Four I-797C notice of action in mail.

09/23/2013 - I-130, I-765 and I-131 online status showing Initial Review. I-485 showing Acceptance.

09/26/2013 - I-797C for Biometrics notice. Appointment scheduled on 10/10

10/01/2013 - I-485 case status updated to RFE and the RFE notice mailed out.

10/08/2013 - RFE response mailed out.

10/10/2013 - I-485 case status changed to "RFE response review"

10/10/2013 - biometrics completed on scheduled date.

10/29/2013 - EAD card production ordered

11/07/2013 - Received combo card.

11/15/2013 - I-485 case status change to "Testing & Interview"

01/02/2014 - Received notice that interview is scheduled for Feb 3.

02/03/2014 - Interview went well. Now it is a waiting game as our dates are not current.

Waiting to receive atleast an I-130 approval

03/17/2014 - Received txt: I-130 approved.

The petitioner is LPR, he included the copy of his green card, he just confirmed to me that he did nt include lease agreement. Hopefully our lawyer would receive the RFE by next week and tell us the way forward.

Oh my goodness. What's going on? Everyone has way later priority dates than us, and are getting approved before us. Our priority date is September 4, 2013 and it is at the California Service Centre.

Wish this would hurry and get approved, so we can continue in our process.

Wish there was more than prayer, that could speed up the process.

Do you all think we may hear something soon or is there anything to do, since our priority date is before cutoff date in September?

Hi mines on initial review too but I'm hopeful everytime I see posts of October Filers received their NOA2. Don't worry, we could be next in line. Godbless you

Hi all. When we submitted the I-130 the priority date was current and when we saw that our priority date was earlier than the cut off date we got even more excited.

Indeed when I see September 2013 filers getting their NOA2, I get anxious too and hope we will get ours too.

hi all!

Just an update, current status: NVC received our file since 21NOV2013

My husband & I calls NVC once or twice a week, some operator will say wait 8 weeks, some 30days but for the recent call this week the operator told me to count 10-20days from the time the NVC received my case before they can provide the case number.

This very emotionally drainingcray5ol.gif hopefully they can provide it already so that we can move to the next step.
