We've been waiting over a month (since August 27, 2013) just to SCHEDULE (not to attend -- I wish...) my Turkish fiancée's K1 interview in Ankara.

Any idea what gives? Anything more we could be doing, besides checking the CSC website three time a day? This seems unnecessarily agonizing.

"There are no available appointments at this time..."

Unfortunately the embassy seem well-rehearsed for and well-buffered against this type of inquiry. The answer is always, "just wait..."

Anyone else had more luck (or similar trouble) making an interview appointment at the US embassy in Ankara in the last month or so?

I guess we were lucky and got an interview date after about 5 days of trying multiple times a day. ( this was in July) and we have appointment in October. There does not seem to be a pattern of when the appointment list opens! Or if there is I havent worked it out. Best of luck

I think keep trying.

If i see it open i will post as other Turkish portal members have asked this question too and are also waiting for appointment. I am not sure how long they have tried or have been trying though.

Perhaps people could let us know

Hi friends, We are waiting since September 10th , we check 2-3 times a day but still no news.

Once on Sep 26 I found open appointments for Sep 30 (appeared for few minutes), it means just 5 days to interview, but it wasn't possible for me to arrange for a trip to Turkey and also preparing the requested documents.

So still we are waiting and hopeful to opening in first days of October.

I remember the same mysterious thing happening to us earlier in September!

An appointment opened up one week away, but we weren't ready with our documents yet, so it slipped through our desperate fingers, and we've been waiting (and hating ourselves) ever since. I think these occasional appearances are the result of people canceling their appointments (a hard thing for us to imagine right now). We've learned our lesson and will be ready if this happens again, but we're really hoping for (and expecting) a big release of appointments SOON. Just wish they were a little earlier than December...

I promise to announce to this forum as soon as I see available appointments.

Who's with me!?

Congratulations to those of you who have recently made appointments - seriously, it must be such a relief!

But now I'm freaking out over here! I'm checking the CSC website like crazy! Is this really how this works!?

We've been waiting since AUGUST. Why isn't it just first come, first served? This feels incredibly UNFAIR...

Hello

Just wondering what we need to schedule an interview appointment?

Our packet is in transit to the embassy as of yesterday, and it looks like the interviews are hard to get.

so we would like to start trying to get one but not sure what all is needed or do we have to just wait for them to contact us..

Thanks for any information :)

There are appointments open right now (Oct 2 @ 6:10pm) -- go and get 'em people! We just got the soonest one available: Dec 18th -- not great, but we'll take it!!

Seyfeneva, I think you need the email from the embassy in Ankara before you can schedule an appointment, but I could be wrong -- anyone else know otherwise?

Good luck, everyone!
