Getting ready with our AOS; concern about I-94 and visa expiration

We are now trying to get things together for our AOS now that we have the funds for the fee. My concern however is that our I-94 was finished at the Kansas Airport (our POE was Seattle and Kansas office told us that the Immigration officer from POE didn't "close" my paperwork so my I-94 did not exist until Kansas put all my info in it).

In my passport, my K1 visa was stamped good until 10/29/2013. On my I-94, it says "Admit until Date: 2013 November 09"

I didn't have any problems when I applied for the SSN. We were just asked why there was a difference with the dates. We explained, and the personnel accepted it.

So I'm just confused. What should I put on the I-485 on the box that asks when my current USCIS status expires?

I think you should put the real date of your entry to the USA.

Well, there's no issue with the real entry date (August 1, 2013). I'm just confused which date I should use for when my current USCIS status expires. Thanks though. I guess I could go for the first one since that's the one written on my passport.

Has anyone experience the same thing and had any issues like RFEs?

Use the one stamped in the passport upon entry and add a note in your cover letter or attachment sheet to the form explaining the I-94 mix up by CBP.

So on the form I-485 date of my last arrival is obvious, then it asks for the I-94 number, I got that. But then USCIS status - is it K1 if I came on a K1? And expiration date, isn't that the date when my K1 expires? Or when my I-94 expires? I'm not clear on that one...

It's okay. well I'm pretty sure they're supposed to be the same dates. The visa expires after 90 days. And the I-94 should reflect the same thing too. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

ok...and can I ask what name you put on your EAD application? Your new name or your maiden name? The instructions say write name as it is on your passport but it just seems weird to me to write my new name on all the other forms and just EAD with my old name...

I've been putting my married name on the forms. I think as long as you provide a copy of your marriage certificate, it's okay.

Oh as for that part it asked to write the name as ut is on I-94, I followed. Didn't see it on the EAD though. Let me double check. Sorry about that. It's been a crazy morning today

I know, it's that the instructions for I-765 say "use the name as it is written on your passport". So I don't know...

Use the date your I-94 expires. The K-1 becomes null and void when you use it to enter. The expiration date on the K-1 was only the time you had to use it to enter the US.

If you changed your name when you married, then use your new married name on all the AOS forms. There will be places that ask for maiden or others names used and you can list your maiden name there.
