I took interview about 2 months ago. and i haven't received my oath letter yet. But my brother got oath letter about one month ago.

I also visited INFOPASS (one month ago) and IO told me that i have to wait because they are scheduling que now. USCIS says wait all the times.

If i write a letter to Senator/congressmen then, do they go over whole application? or do they help to make scheduled for oath letter only?

Do you guys have any experience to talk about your oath letter with CA senator?

Since your brother already received his letter , I think contacting ur congressman in you area would be helpful , and you will get a response within 2 days. Usually, when a congressman sends a query uscis responses with the status of application not just " wait " , If they found that they forget about your case they will sent you the letter right away. I read about a case where the congressman informed the applicant about his oath even before uscis sends the letter. Give it a shot

It looks to me like you have JUST passed the 5 month processing time mark. Today in fact, if your NOA date is April 20th. Before getting your congressman involved, call your local office and politely let them know that you are now outside processing and ask if they can give you more information or an oath date. Your brother's timeline has nothing to do with yours. Each case is different. Some people get through very quickly while other take a while.

Only involve your congressman if you have exhausted all channels that you can independently use.

You dont have to do infopass. Just call them, ask to be transferred to Tier 2 and they will open a service request on your behalf.

I did the same thing coz even after 45 days I did not get my letter. After speaking to Tier 2, I got email that they sent me Oath letter in 2 hours.

Now when your application is beyond processing times you can also make e-Request.

For instance in my ROC process I was only 8 days beyond posted processing times and I was able to make e-Request by USCIS website.

Just go to USCIS website where you Check Your Case Status https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard.do and on the left side of the screen click e-Request.

"E-Request is a (USCIS) web-based tool that allows you to place an inquiry with USCIS You may make an inquiry on selected forms that are beyond posted processing times".

One of the officers did something for you in the background.

You took action and now you see a reaction. Congratulations.
