First co-sponsor lost his job...

Hello Everybody,

My friend came here on K-1 and they used a friend as a co-sponsor for K-1. Now he is unemployed, so I assume he can't be a co-sponsor any more ? correct ?

If so, can they get a different person ?

I don't see why not. The first co-sponsor had no legal obligations anyway. This next one thoug will be responsible for 10 years

Of course they can get a new co-sponsor... obviously the first one wouldn't be able to sign the affidavit now.

Unless of course, the original co-sponsor finds a new job right away. People change jobs, this is a reality of life. Is the original co-sponsor capable of making that happen before paperwork is filed?
