I don't think I should be too worried for now since we got our NO2 a bit faster but I am just wondering if anyone who got approved around 22nd August has received case number yet, I am a bit curious cuz its almost about 4weeks now and I still don't know anything yet, whether it has left USCIS or with NVC, wondering....ClockWatch2.gifsleepy.gif

you can call the NVC and give your case number (the one you use in USCIS) , and ask if they received your case, and if they have your case number....

in your USCIS status should said " On xxxxxxxx, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly."...

Good luck!!!!.

I was approved on August 21st and have not received my case number, I've called NVC each week since my approval date and they tell me 8 weeks. There is a backlog at the CSC where both of our files went and were approved very quickly. I guess they were just pumping them out too fast for NVC to catch up. So don't worry, just wait :) Sorry I cannot give better news... hoping things will go faster than 8 weeks but if not, again, don't worry. Looks like our packets will be traveling in the same 'batch' and possibly our interviews will also be close in date ;)

Hi Guys,

I am in the same boat as you. I'm glad I found this thread because I was getting worried, now I know I'm not the only one.

My I-129f petition was approved August 22, 2013 from the California Service Center, however, it has failed to reach the NVC yet after almost a month! I called NVC last week and a representative said it can take anywhere from 1-4 weeks. Then I called NVC again twice today and they told me they don't have my case number yet and it could take up to 8 weeks! So I'm getting different information from the NVC. Regardless, I will still keep trying to call them every couple of days to see if I have case number yet. ClockWatch2.gif

Let's be sure to keep this thread updated when one of us hears something.

Good luck!

My fiance (from Phillipinhes) has been asking other ladies what sort of time they are experiencing. It seems to be 8 weeks from NOA2 to first contact from Manila consulate. If will of course vary from consulate to consulate.

Oh Okay I see, well keep calling them if anything comes up don't hesitate to let us know and yeah we might possibly be having a close in date interview since we are using the same consulate office but well lets keep our fingers crossed for any good news this week. Good luck to all of us!

yeah I called as well they told me the same 8weeks, I haven't tried calling this week though but I learnt the people at DOS give better info than NVC so maybe we should try calling DOS as well, atleast I just want to find out if our files have got there yet.....ranting33va.gif

No I haven't received mine yet, well for some reason I think the cases approved from CSC from 19th August upwards have been stagnated for some reason. others with the same dates and even September approvals from Vermont and Texas are already been sent to their respective consulates so I wonder why we still dont hve our case numbers crying.gifClockWatch2.gif
