personal preference - if i'm going to spend dang near enough to own it in 3 years, i'd rather pay that amount for 4 years and have something to trade in.

as i understand it on leasing, you still have to pay for all the maintenance and insurance and so on, so you don't really save money - leasing is predominantly something for a business or if you just have to have a new vehicle every 3 years or so (note also that lease vehicles have many clauses in them, one about excess milage......)

I already told you buy buy buy!

Also if you're going to put tons of miles on it for example commuting everyday then you'll have to pay an arm and a leg for the extra miles. Trust me, I had this problem with my big wheels.

in the above case, that's probably not a bad deal. you'll spend $9883 in 3 years, but make sure there is not an end of lease payment. and you'll have an average of 833 miles a month....... only you know if you'll exceed that and best to find out what the cost is per mile for overmilage.

No end of lease payment. The balance will be 38K and I can either give it back, re-lease, or finance it. It's a SWEET car. It's 25 cents per mile for overage but if I keep it, then that doesn't really matter. I have to decide by the end of the month, they rarely do this special.

so you have time to get an insurance quote. that is going to be important also. find out what the insurance requirements are for that vehicle, get ahold of your insurance company, and make sure you can afford that too. my suggestion is go ahead and get the vehicle if you can afford it. you'll depreciate a vehicle 10k in 3 years anyways.

For me that would not be a good deal because I drive much more than that per month.

That's because you have to drive 20 min to In-n-out burger
