HELP!! - Manila, Philippines DS-230 or DS-260????

Hello All,

I really need some help here.

Here is where I am at.

My I-129F petition has been approved (08/26), sent to NVC (08/27), MNL number issued (09/05), sent to Embassy in Manila (09/06), received by Embassy in Manila (09/09), Embassy appointment has been schedule on line for 10/28.

Here is where I am confused, will she (beneficiarry) receive any type of correspondence on her side as to the required documents to present at the appointment.

I right on that line of the Sept 01 change from DS-230 to DS-260, so I do not know what to do related to that document.

My MNL number was issued on Sept. 05.

Any help is greatly appriciated.

yes, I have printed that. I am reading all of the place that the DS-230 is being replaced by the DS-260.

I am really trying to find out if she will receive any thing on her end to confirm what they want.

Next the DS-260 is not used for the K-1 in Manila. Everything that is required by the embassy is listed in the embassy instructions letter.

As far as I know, that don't apply to K1 visas

Notice to K Visa Applicants

The Immigrant Visa Unit only accepts K visa applicants (K1, K2, K3, and K4) who have completed DS-156, DS-156K (for K1 applicants only), DS-157, and DS-230 application forms. Application forms are available athttp://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3224.html and should be completed in advance of the appointment. Any K applicant without completed application forms who appears for an interview will be referred to nearby internet cafés to complete the application forms. For your convenience, applicants who can complete the forms and return to the Embassy by 10:00 am will still be interviewed that same day. Applicants who cannot or choose not to return to the Embassy with the completed forms by 10:00 am will be advised to reschedule the interview by visiting the online appointment website at http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph or by calling the Call Center at (632) 982-5555 or (632) 902-8930.

Also, K1 visa applicants don't have Invoice ID Number but only NVC number and you need to enter both NVC case number and IID number at the log in page.

What do I need to complete and submit forms online?

You must have:

• Internet access
• Your NVC Case Number (refer to the message you received from NVC)
• Your Invoice I.D. number (refer to the message you received from NVC)

hi..based on my interview last sept. 11... they only need ds56, 157 and 156k... thats all...

On behalf of a whole lot of people on this site, I say thank you.

Here is where I am getting confused Hank, let me say this, I am a very black and white type personality.

So when I read the following : "The Immigrant Visa Unit only accepts K visa applicants (K1, K2, K3, and K4) who have completed DS-156, DS-156K (for K1 applicants only), DS-157, and DS-230 application forms."

I read it as this, since you are going to the interview WITH completed DS-156, DS-156K, DS-157, and DS-230, then you are required to complete the DS-260.

You see it does not say anything like if they have been completed, received, and filed prior to the date of your interview.

See where my confusion is coming in?
