NVC case complete...but when is the interview ?

Got case complete email today from the NVC ! Exactly 19 business days from the date they logged in the DS-230 package. So no complaints from me.

But now we wait until they assign an interview date at US Embassy in Sofia. Not many Bulgarian time lines here on VJ, but can anybody give me an educated guess as to how long we have to wait to find out the interview date ?

Update...I did hear soon, much sooner than I expected. We got the appointment email yesterday 9/10, only 4 days after the case complete email. I had expected to wait 2

to 3 weeks judging by the last Bulgarian time line that I found. Also the interview date is October 3, only 23 days from yesterday....also a shorter time line than the minimum of 30 days that I expected...but it is a good thing !!!

update.....CEAC status now shows "Ready" as of 9/16. Interview scheduled for October 3rd.

So the case is now at the Embassy in Sofia !

Of course my wife is now freaking out ! We had expected the interview to not be until later in the month and I had plans to be in BG on October 9th to be with her for the interview.... which is now a week too late...but we can't turn down the opportunity to get this done so she is doing everything now on her own. She is going for her medical on this Thursday, 9/19. I have sent her copies of everything previously filed, in case something is missing. (uscis original I-130 bona fides of marriage and all nvc DS-230 documents and some updated evidence of communications from the time of filing the I-130 until the present.

Am I forgetting any thing that she will need ? She has photos, passport, etc.

Med exam was today 9/19...all went well, my wife got her sealed envelope and x-ray. Apparently she needed no vaccinations as she had a letter (or some kind of record) from her GP stating her vaccination history. Now we wait for the interview on 10/3.

Med exam was today 9/19...all went well, my wife got her sealed envelope and x-ray. Apparently she needed no vaccinations as she had a letter (or some kind of record) from her GP stating her vaccination history. Now we wait for the interview on 10/3.

I still waiting for my interview date ,I received an email of confirmation since september 16th and i hope it will be soon ...

Thank you ! I hope that you get your interview date soon. I was shocked at how soon after the case complete email that I got the interview notice. I think that might be explained by the fact that my case complete email was dated 9/6, but in actuality the case was completed the week before....so an official date of 8/30. So I think we got lucky with an August date and therefore got an October interview date. Also the date depends on how busy the particular Embassy/Consulate is. I think that I had been reading so much on VJ about how long every step in the process takes that I wasn't prepared for an on schedule case complete and a quick assignment of the interview date. LOL !

Now I hope that I did not jinx myself and that the interview goes well !
