The only thing it effects is where you have your interview. Your wife can request your case be sent to the US Embassy in Libya instead. Since you will have a work visa or something similar to it, you have every right to interview there. Definitely take the job if it's what you want though if I were you I'd have a look at reviews of the Embassy there just to compare with Jordan.

The I-130 is a petition and really doesn't have much to do with you. When it is approved you will be able to interview in a country you are legally working and living in, or your home country should you choose to move back. The main thing is making sure after your case is approved and has reached the NVC that the NVC number (also called the DOS number) has the 3 letters which are appropriate to the consulate you wish to interview at.

The Embassy in Tripoli is not currently processing visas (and hasn't for quite some time). Casablanca, Morocco is the designated post for processing IVs from Libya.

Why would it be a red flag that you're travelling for work?

Why would it be a red flag that you're travelling for work?

because Libya is high risk area according to the U.S and there is few Terrirost activities in that country and i just thought it will be an issue to me by the embassy at the time of interview to have more reasons for them to put me on AP.

i have strong relationship evedince this is the last thing im worried about, im just trying to be very careful to avoid an AP.

another question..

i applied for visitor visa after i sent my I130 and i was put on AP for 7 months now.

will this AP avoids me from getting in another AP when my immgration visa gets to the embassy in consideration of i had been in AP already in different type of visa >??
