Sorry my mistake, I did not email, I also filled form online. I apologize for any confusion created.

Not a problem....all good

i just called NVC and they told me they have changed in rules from 3rd sep and from onwards ds-261 is for worldwide.

after Our ds-261 accepted we have to fill ds-260 online and not ds-230 and send in paper through mail.....

plz read more here and there and lets share more correct information.

Yes, after they review they should generate IV bill and we should be able to fill DS-260. I believe, we still have to mail other documents ( Police reports, marriage certificate, etc)

I think this is good approach NVC have taken, it will save a lot of time.

electronic processing and online forms are two different things.

Online forms look like they are required everywhere now. We'll have to update guides for people!

I noticed the guide had the wrong mailing address for generating your own AOS cover sheet and the type of visa was under the bar code but as you said most will have to be redone and at least now they send you notifications and cover sheet via email so you can jump online and knock out a few of the things.

One things I'm curious about is I have seen an "Optin" option yet so you can scan and send in I-864 I might have to call and check I just sent in mine priority snail mail today.

You cannot send anything via electronic processing yet. That is still very localized to certain countries (both mandatory and optional.) But the entire world now does online forms. You also do not generate your own barcode anymore either. That is generated automatically when you pay the AOS or IV bill and is available to print after those invoices are paid. Again, use their barcodes, do not generate them.

Electronic processing = EP = emailing scanned copies of documents

Online forms = DS-261 and DS-260 done ONLINE.

Do not mail or email the DS-3032 anymore.

Do not mail the DS-230 with the IV package.

AOS package with I-864 must still be mailed unless you are an EP country!

Hi All,

I went to travel.state.gov and found this information:

Starting September 1, 2013, all immigrant visa applicants will apply online using Form DS-260 (Application for Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration). Applicants will also choose their agent online using Form DS-261 (Choice of Address and Agent). Applicants will access both forms on the web at ceac.state.gov.

These forms replace the paper DS-230 and DS-3032. The National Visa Center (NVC) may instruct some applicants who previously submitted Form DS-230 to submit Form DS-260. Only Diversity Visa and Cuban Family Reunification Parole applicants will continue to use the paper forms. If you have questions or feedback about Forms DS-260 and DS-261, contact the NVC atnvcinquiry@state.gov or 603-334-0700.
More information can be obtained from : http://travel.state.gov/visa/questions/news/news_4413.html
Looks like everyone gonna file DS-261 instead of DS-3032 and DS-260 instead of DS-230
Hope this helps to clarify confusion for all of us.
Thanks

There is a monthly NVC filers thread in the progress reports forum that normally has all this information. :) If you're at that stage please join in! :D

How did you guys access the DS-261? I have been trying to access it for a week already and whenever I log on all I'm seeing is my AOS payment summary page and I can't click on any of the links above. I tried to call NVC about it and they didn't help at all.
