The considered bar girls in the Philippines are those who are in prostitution business. What makes a former bar girls flagged as red flag when comes to relationships with foreign guys is their experience to be able to manipulate and more often after comfortable living the guy can offer than the relationship. Not all are like that, some got in that business against their will but those who chose to be a bar girl because they don't want to work hard labor to earn their living, and my opinion, those who should be cautious.

The definition of "bar girl" was the question I wanted to ask.

How can that not be a crime of moral turpitude? I guess you have to have a police record of prostitution first.

"Moral turptitude" HA! I havent heard that one for years,,,that a charge they pin on you when they cant figure out what else to charge you with,,in other words a BS charge.

a bargirl is a girl who "works" in a bar,,,some have sex with customers,,some are virgins,,some just sling beer,,,its a pretty broad statement

FWIW, I am mostly successful at libraries and trade fairs. I not travel into bars where bar girls are available. [back to post #1]

but that's just my 2 cents. Yes, I've been known to interact with librarians on a different level, but that was the point, entirely. I adore brainy women, my wife is one of them wink.png

For it to be a crime, someone has to be arrested and charged. IMO, that's rather rare in that country.

Yeah with all my posts I'm sure I'm trolling. Don't be mad because I struck a nerve... I just am posting an observation I found with meeting a couple pinay recently here on K1's. Maybe someone will benefit for thinking or asking more about what warning signs could be. Niblet came with a very reasonable response that certainly makes sense, and if you were to pick a working girl from any country you'd probably have the best chances with Philippines. Maybe if I form a friendship with any of these guys that have married obvious bar girls I will be able to ask them why, and maybe they will have an answer like Niblet. Or maybe they will never talk to me again... ha ha.

Mmmm his response was provocative not reasonable.. That you say it is reasonable makes me think your OP was not exactly your opinion.

On the subject of bar girls.. I could not care less if someone chooses to marry and bring them here. Lets see some stats that show they make universally poor/abusive spouses and I guess there could be a discussion. All I have seen (and seen reported) is bits of anecdotal evidence here and there and it does not seem to be overly different than the non-bar girls: some good, some bad.

I don't believe it.. Prove it to me and I still won't believe it. -Ford Prefect
