I'm travelling to Canada soon with my husband. I have my US 2 year Green Card. My passport still shows my maiden name (I will be taking our Marriage certificate). But I'm a little concerned that in my passport photo I am wearing a head scarf, however on my Green Card I'm not (since I took it off prior to applying for AOS). My face is still pretty much the same. Will this be a problem? It didn't cause any issues when applying for AOS with my passport photo and new photos. I'm just wondering if border patrol might question if it's really me. I am mostly worried about the return to the U.S, I don't want to be declined for this (I know it is rare with a GC holder).

Thanks!

It's not a problem. They might ask you about, have a bit of conversation, that's all. You have an ID (GC) that looks like you do now, so that's what they want. The names match the old so they can figure it out.

Ha, just turn the clock back about six years when all of us could walk freely across the borders. With Canada, just made down sure you weren't carrying any flowers. But if you had a dog, needed to show the shot records. With the US, no guns or alcohol, never checked, just asked you.

What can I say about photos? Worse one I have ever seen of my wife was on her US citizenship certificate printed on very low quality paper with a cheap low res ink jet printer. And this was after a 4.5 hour trip to our nearest field office, her eyes were baggy, hair messed up, and only one shot was taken.

But the DOS accepted it for her US passport, their, they used one of mine, extremely high quality. Wife never wants to see or show her certificate to anyone, ever, ever again.
