Hi all! My fiancé in Samar is having problems getting thru the embassy in Manila to schedule her interview. The number ((02) 982-5555 keeps telling her she needs to do a DS-160 before she can schedule her interview. But visa journey reads K visas don't need to.

How can she get past this roadblock and/or talk to a real person? Is there another number to call?

Thank you all!!

Use one of these numbers; (632) 982-5555 or (632) 902-8930.

Or as others said its very simple to schedule online.

There is info in the link below (follow the flashing arrow) for the complete process.

Not just VJ, but the USEM instructions as well. You are talking to someone who does not know what they are talking about if they say you need a DS-160.

You can also try calling yourself if you prefer, at the (703) number listed herein: http://manila.usembassy.gov/contact.html

DavenRoxy USEM is just all screwed up...no one knows anything anymore. haha. We cant even get help rescheduling our interviews and keep telling us to check the websit for updates and it isnt even updated like they state "MONDAY AFTERNOON" hahahaha.

I see the embassy instructions letter still has the old phone number listed ... it's time for an over-haul!!

The Embassy Letter both my Fiancee and I received contains three numbers:

It also references http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3238.html, which lists the same numbers; so does the online version 'Hank_' linked to. Where are you all getting these other numbers?

"Listed phone numbers may or may not be the actual working numbers at the time you call"

Somehow, you are supposed to know a number is changed, and what that new number is, without it actually being changed on the letter or website.

Yup, and the 214 number has been changed, the other two are still good.

I find that it is easier to call the 8930 versus the 5555 number. The wait for the 8930 is much less.
