Help in rescheduling from Aug 19th fiasco..phones busy

Just called 214-571-1600. It is a fast busy, or a trunk busy. Means the call isn't going thru to the intended destination. Anyone who has been making calls in the US for the past 30 years should be familiar with a normal busy bzzzzzz.... bzzzzzzzzzz... bzzzzzzzzz..... vs. a trunk busy bzzz bzzz bzzz bzzz bzzzz. It means your call is not going thru, not that the phone on the other end is busy.

If you've been getting this for weeks, it's probably no longer a valid number. Not that it's unusual for this to happen calling a foreign country, have had it happen many times. But if it's persistent for days or weeks, it means something is wrong with that number.

Well like I said we had an AUG 19th appointment and My fiancee was getting ready to go to the embassy and try and do a "walk in" for Wednesday the 28th and i tried to call the USEM one last time,,to my surprise

the embassy staffer agreed to reschedule me,,for Sept 11,,,, so I accepted and the appointment letter was emailed to myself and my fiancee.

Im glad all of those who took the chance and did the walk in thing got accepted, but I decided to play by the rules and now I have to wait 2 more weeks.

Why the NON IMMIGRANT section had an "open walk in make up" schedule posted and the immigrant unit still has yet to update anything is beyond me.

Perhaps I should have been a little more proactive in this but its not my style to go running off half cocked to the embassy and have my girl stand in the elements

waiting for perhaps nothing,,,,I'm a military man and I am familiar with organization,,I like it,,I think having to go to the embassy and "see" if you can get in is a sham.

especially when they couldnt be bothered to actually post that they were taking clients on a walk in basis

oh well,,I'll get there,,,eventually,,,now I see more typhoons on the way,,,great
