Can NOA2 be granted at a INFO PASS? We got a RFE on 30th July but never got it in post and now have an appointment for INFO PASS on Monday.

No. But your reply will be processed faster. They don't have the authority. time and means to do this immediately. DO MAKE THAT APPOINTMENT and clear-up the matter what-ever it is. It's paperwork. They will note you were there and record the statement/paperwork of the RFE. It's worth going.

We suspect strongly that RFE is for either more proof of meeting which I already have in place to send over to my fiancée or something to do with her divorce papers. Well it help if she takes all the evidence with her as they can look at it and say if its acceptable or not? Can they print of the RFE there or tell us what it's for?

Help me here.. You don't what the RFE is for ? Do you have an Attorney ? They get the information first and only notify the Petitioner when "They get around to it". How can you be prepared to answer a question without a question. thats what a RFE is.

Help me here.. You don't what the RFE is for ? Do you have an Attorney ? They get the information first and only notify the Petitioner when "They get around to it". How can you be prepared to answer a question without a question. thats what a RFE is.

We was issued a RFE (which we only found out by calling the USCIS) but never got the hard copy In post so called again and they said they will resend and again we have not received it. We did receive a letter stating we called them and what was said so they have our address correct just not sending the RFE. We don't have a attorney as our friend is an attorney and they are giving free advice but not handling out case. I went over all the stuff we sent in with application and we did not send in flights itinerarys, confirmations or boarding passes so guess that's what they need and my fiancée is unsure if she sent in correct part of her divorce degree hence why we suspect its one of those 2 problems.

They might be able to help at the Infopass appointment by giving you information on your case and letting you know if the hard copy RFE was mailed out to you yet or not, but you have to wait for that letter and mail back your documentation with the RFE notice that is required to send back with your evidence response. That will go back to the service center processing your case, and your approval or denial will come from there, not the local USCIS office you will have your Infopass appointment at.

At the InfoPass caucus, be sure to learn whether any mail pieces are recorded as having been returned undelivered.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

If they are just got going to say the same "we will resend RFE again" rubbish like they said before then there is no point in the meeting at all as they said that 2 times before and not bothered sending it out and have wasted a month of our time with there incompetence. I'm going to have my fiancée phone me when in the meeting and im going speak to the officer as enough is enough and I'm not waiting another month because they can't figure out how to put a letter in a post box!
