Guys my fiance will have her interview on august 27 2013 but she;s planning to have her medical exam on august 22 2013. I read that those who will have medical exam should schedule 1-2 weeks before interview. Is that ok like 5 days only before her interview?

Play safe. Take it exactly a week before the interview like the website say so. Do not take risk.

You should allot at least 2 days for the medical and US Embassy letter of instructions states that medical should be made at least one week before the interview.... but if your fiancée will be at SLEC at 3 am thurs she might be able to finish the medical at 3 or 4 pm same day...so u have fri and Monday hoping that SLEC will deliver the medical results to the US Embassy Manila...still too risky but since u have scheduled the interview on the 27th, go ahead have the interview but expect 221g if medical results is not receive by the embassy and that means delay in the visa issuance.

Be safe for a week interval. You might get 221g form for missing medical report from SLEC. They sometimes send it a bit late hehehe. And also just in case she dont have period.

uhmm my advice is no.. make sure you finish it at least a week before the interview date,,, medical takes 2 days at least. So i will say maybe start at least 10 days before... this was one of our concerns before but it did work for us. we finished our medical exactly just a week before the interview.

She can take it as late as 2 days before the interview at USEM since SLEC sends the documents the next working day after the medical. Just be mindful that it is the rainy and flood season so there might be delays and you might be issued a 221g after the interview as what one poster here stated. For me, looking at tye Philippine weather, 7 working days should be given. :)

Embassy states about a week before the interview in the instructions letter.

q. MEDICAL EXAMINATION. All K1 and K2 visa applicants must complete a medical examination at St. Luke’s Medical Center Extension Clinic (SLMCEC) at least a week before the interview appointment. Prior to their visit, applicants are also encouraged to register online with SLMCEC at their website: www.slec.ph. Registering online will save processing time and make the visit to SLMCEC faster and more efficient. Refer to the instructions (see separate page) regarding the medical examination.

USEM is very unpredictable you can have an approved visa without 221g form but still there are some unexplainable delays.

Getting medical exam a week before the Interview date is much safer rather than getting 221g form after interview because of medical result not available. There are VJ's members waiting for their visas for a couple of weeks or even months after receiving 221g form.
