I am quite sure criminals do not think in this way at all. Violent crime is not that rife, most people are never affected by it. Most criminals do not put much thought in the crimes they commit period let alone targeting areas that may or may not have more or less armed citizens who may or may not be in a position to prevent their criminal activity. This whole conversation is ludicrous. There is nothing wrong with advocating lower volumes of guns in circulation, I know I prefer living in places were most people are not armed, it's essentially safer despite what some people believe and it's definitely more civilized.
