i just read this in another forum.

Steve

This is what I just received regarding your case.

Thank you for your Tuesday, July 16, 2013, email on behalf of your constituent, Mr. Chris XXXXX, regarding his pending Form I-129F, Petition for Alien Fiancé(e).

USCIS records indicate that Mr. XXXX’s petition was approved on July 3, 2013 and an approval notice mailed out the same day. Once approved, it takes approximately 15 business days for USCIS to complete the administrative processing of the petitions before we can send them to the Department of State National Visa Center (DoS NVC). I can see in the systems that his petition is in the final stages here at USCIS. It should be forwarded to the NVC within the next several days or early next week.

Ok! That is a reasonable answer from USCIS!

Sent an email To NVC two weeks ago looking for my Case that was approved on 7/24. Below is their response to me today

Dear Sir/Madam:

Please be advised that the National Visa Center (NVC) has received your

inquiry. Unfortunately, we do not have any record of receiving your

petition. If your petition was approved more than 15 days ago, please

email a scanned copy of your I-797 or I-171 Notice of Action - Approval

Notice to NVCResearch@state.gov. Please type the receipt number in the

subject line of your email and include one attachment/case per email. We

will contact U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on your

behalf to locate your petition.

On August 20, 2013, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly.

I just called DOS and a very guy told me that my file is on its way to them but that they are having trouble putting all the petitions in the computer. Would that be the reason why it is so hard to get the number assigned?

He told me to call back later to see if it is in yet...

Should I call the NVC directly?

I think I am seeing a pattern here. Seems that many who were transferred to Texas have not received an NOA2 hardcopy and also have not been assigned an NVC case number. I am just speculating, but it seems logical that since Texas normally does not process i-129f petitions, and only handling overflow, perhaps our cases must be first transferred back to Vermont for actual processing and sending of NOA2 hardcopy before forwarded to NVC. Can anyone confirm or refute my theory?

I must disagree with you. Our case was transferred to TSC on Jul 10th, Approved on Jul 28th, transfered to NVC on Aug 14th and yesterday, Aug 20th, I got the NVC case number. I believe they transfer straight to NVC from TSC but it does not seem like they are doing it in any order. Looks like they just take random batches.

Well I haven't received the NOA2 in the mail from TSC, we were approved on the 26th, and my file was supposedly transferred on the 15th to NVC and they haven't got it yet. No case # :(

Whenever I call NVC they keep asking me if I have the approval letter in front of me and when I say no then they start treating me different, meaning not nice at all. People from the DOS are pretty nice but they do not have anything either...

What am I supposed to do?

CEAC still shows at NVC. I hope it gets sent out soon. Already scheduled the interview for 29th and medical for 28th, I'd hate to reschedule.
