Philippines--CFO and GC Certificate and Visa sticker

Okay friends.....

My fiancée is going for her medical at St. Lukes next week

She will also take a day and go to the Commission on Filipinos Overseas for the class....and get the certificate (ONLY)

I don't expect any issues with the medica

Then on Sept 17 she has her interview...should be no problem here either

Then, in 7-10? days she should have her visa in hand

Here is my question.....

I want to book her flight to NY once she passes her physical (big savings if book with a 4+ week window)

FOr the one way flight to NY.....I want her to arrive at the Manila airport and THEN get her CFO sticker for her passport (SHE WOULD FLY TO New York THE FOLLOWING DAY)

Can she get the CFO sticker at a CFO office AT MANILA AIRPORT by showing her class certificate? Is that a possibility?

Or will she have to head over to the Manila office? She would arrive at the office at maybe 2 PM

That wouldn't be a wise decision to book a flight so soon you don't know if the case is going to get further administrative processing. (AP) so don't book any flight until she has visa in her hands.

Keep it Real

I know...that's what everyone says....sigh...

What would cause this "administrative processing" delay?

examples?

They wont give you a reason (unless you get a 221g). 12 days for my fiancee since the interview, and the visa hasn't even been issued yet. You might get lucky, you might not.

Do you feel lucky?

I agree....don't book the flight until she has her Visa in hand...you never know what will happen !!!

I was very tempted to book my Honey's flight last week, all she had left to do was get her passport and take the CFO class.....now !!!......her passport and Visa are stuck in the US Embassy because of the flooding and the CFO is closed....

Who knows how long now it will take....I almost booked her flight for this coming Friday because it was a really good price....

Don't do it !!!!.....you are risking a lot of $$$$ plus a hugh disappointment ....

I know it is hard to wait.....believe me, I know.....and so does my Honey !!!

Yes she can get the sticker at the NAIA, from what I have read they request you call them in advance ( 2-3 days) if you want to get the sticker at the airport. This is just memory stuff on the advance calling.

There is no "CFO office" at the airport.

Yes there is. With advance notice you can get the sticker at the airport.

Our government does nothing well !!! except screw us all over....!!!!!, sorry !!! off topic oops8rh.gif
