I can't really find all the steps for the N400? I sent off my application, and received a form saying that they have received the application. I see they cashed the check for the $680 fee. Now what? More waiting? Should I be studying for my citizenship test now?

Camp out at your mailbox? In a month or so should receive a biometrics appointment, make that or will cause further delays. Then you camp out at your mailbox again and wait for your interview notice. If you pass, you have the right to ask about your oath ceremony, could be the same day if lucky, or camp out at your mailbox again.

With 80 different field offices, some post web data, some don't, ours didn't, strictly dealing with your own field office.

In regards to studying for the civics test, we had a 4.5 hour drive over, and that is when we went over those hundred questions, both wife and stepdaughter answered the first six question correctly, but forgot most of it the next day. Both attended a near by university when they came here, and that is exactly how our universities work, cram for an exam, get a high grade, and forget everything the next day.

Not much except wait - wait for your NOA, wait for your FP appt letter, go to the finger print appt and then wait smile.png

This is one of the more annoying stages of immigration I have to say.

Study as much as you feel you need to for 100 possible questions, but only a random 10 will be asked of you. If you get the first 6 right they stop. As a Canadian I found some answers just common knowledge but there were a few harder ones ai had to review occasionally. I did it the lst month or so before the interview and had my husband eliminate the ones I knew off by heart.
