I'm on cloud nine, decided to call again and sure enough NVC has received the case as of today. He said turn around time is really quick. Now what?? Hurry up and wait, trying to have Klaus on the flight 9/14 which we already booked.

What was the date of your NOA2 approval?

And H&J, yes, Dept of State = NVC. You got your NOA2 11 days before us, but some people who got theirs 25 & 26 already got their case # so it seems a little random indeed!! Will continue to update you guys with anything.... if you are the petitioner, did you already mail the post-NOA2 docs to your fiancé? That's what I took care of yesterday (as well as a sweet 1-year Anniversary card!)

Our NOA2 approval was 7/31/2013; I haven't even received a message from USCIS that it was shipped to NVC. Better to call it seems.

I sent him a binder with everything he could possibly need. He already had his birth certificate translated, criminal record and military record. Think he will get the specific forms from the Embassy in the packet and we are ready to go.

I just sent everything yesterday morning, so it should probably be to him in the next two weeks or so. He already has the full copy of the original petition, I just sent over the financial documents :)

Happy 1 year Anniversary to you both!

Question: I sent over Tax returns and Tax transcripts, 401k documents, paystubs and a document that I am employed 32 hours a week as a registered nurse. My last Tax return my income was about $87,000, do you think I need to send bank statements or should all of that be ok?

Trying, this process is draining. I work night shift 6 on, 1 off, 2 on, 5 off. I can't sleep during the day as I wake up with all of this on my mind. I just hope this all goes fast, wedding dress is hanging in the closet, fiance 7,000 miles away and a one way ticket booked for 9/14. After 5 years of going back and forth every 2-3 months we are ready.

Yes I know how you feel. It's not easy with the shift work as well. I do intensive care so yes I know exactly how you feel. It will soon be over. Your more than half way through. Keep your chin up. We will look back soon and think thank god.

NOA2 July 10th, still nothing at the NVC... frustrating as a trip to the US for two and a half months is quickly looming, and I at least wanted the medical done before I went. Tried e-mailing the NVC now as well as calling, we'll see what that gets me.

When did people start involving their senators and congressmen? And what sort of thing do you generally ask for? Did it help?

We too have NOA2 of July 10th. Nothing at NVC. Lots of success stories on VJ, but actually only 55% of couples with NOA2's the same week as ours have been "received" or logged into the NVC system. It certainly feels like forever though. The unfairness of the system is very frustrating.
